The German ERP specialist Asseco Solutions has completed the next step in its strategic expansion drive. Following the opening of the second Austrian subsidiary in Vienna in March and a new German office in Hanover, the company is opening up in Italy. Since 1st September, a nine-person team in Milan has been providing consulting and sales of Asseco solutions in northern Italy. Its goal is to develop the Italian market and reinforce Asseco Solutions’ presence in southern Europe.
The managing director of the new subsidiary is the IT specialist Horst Exenberger, who is the founder and long-time CEO of the international business integration company DERWID. He is assisted by eight staff in Milan running sales, back office, IT, marketing, communication and consulting for Asseco solutions. They are focusing their activities on the ERP solution APplus as well as on the service and predictive maintenance solution SCS, which Asseco launched a few months ago at the Hanover Industrial Fair. The Italian team is already growing, with the recruitment of an additional consulting specialist planned for early 2017.
Growing potential in southern Europe
“With our new subsidiary in Italy, we’ve achieved the next step in making Asseco Solutions more international. Especially in southern Europe we’ve noticed a growing demand for IT solutions tailored to midsized firms and our new office will allow us to respond to this need efficiently and locally. We’ll start by concentrating on northern Italy in the area around Milan. After that, we’ll expand our activities throughout the whole of Italy.”
