Asseco Publishes “APplus AI Dashboards 8”

With its new product generation APplus 8, Asseco Solutions trailblazed a completely new usage concept in the ERP world last fall: The Flow Mode breaks down daily business tasks into their processes and presents them in user-friendly process flows that focus on the essentials. Customizable purely on a configuration basis, these can be changed flexibly with the company at any time, without any need for modifications to the standard version.

With this concept’s latest version, the Karlsruhe ERP specialist accommodates its AI dashboards. “APplus AI Dashboards 8” bring the AI-supported module into the world of APplus 8. This offers users and administrators more user-friendly handling and increased efficiency, while the extended integration into the ERP system makes various prior customizations superfluous. The new AI dashboards are now available for APplus 8.

A perfect fit is a decisive key to efficiency in day-to-day business. An ERP user in Purchasing needs completely different functions, key figures, and overviews than a user in Production. The AI dashboards from APplus offer users the opportunity to configure their own individual control center – with the least possible effort. Supported by state-of-the-art AI, the module suggests users the interface elements that best suit their actual APplus usage. These are determined based on anonymously observed individual APplus usage, similar roles, or industry-specific scenarios.

As part of the new version, AI dashboards are now even more closely integrated into APplus use. For example, APplus search result lists can now also be displayed using flexible AI dashboards, allowing the desired column elements to be customized on a configuration basis. In the past, this was only possible through individual customization to the standard version of the software, which could itself not be tailored to the requirements of individual employees and their respective roles.

By using the AI dashboards on the other hand, an employee in Invoicing, for example, is now able to sort a large hit list using an “Invoicing Pending” column, while a Sales colleague can use a “Resubmission Date” column to immediately recognize which interested parties currently need to be re-contacted for a quotation.

Further innovations at a glance

Other improvements and new functions of AI Dashboards 8 include:

  • New interface design with a flow: Thanks to the revised look and feel, the new AI dashboards blend seamlessly into the Flow Mode visuals. Adopted design elements such as the customizable backgrounds allow users to immediately see which process stage they are at, at any time. The configuration view and logic of the dashboards have been aligned with the process flows from APplus 8, providing administrators with a uniform configuration mechanism for the entire APplus world, significantly simplifying training.

  • Increased security thanks to new SQL parser: The new SQL parser provides a variety of new query options so that data can be better read and visualized. It also further improves the security of the queries.

  • Precise configuration of global parameters: The global parameters allow users to filter down all elements of the current dashboard to a specific criterion with just one setting and thus only display information relating to a specific customer, item, or project, for example. However, if the selection of the desired data goes beyond a single criterion or a simple from-to query, this previously had to be defined on an XML basis – a procedure that required a certain amount of technical knowledge. In the new AI Dashboards 8, personalized requirements can be implemented purely on a configuration basis. In addition, it is now possible to define your own restriction criteria if required, for example to cover company-specific peculiarities.

  • Extended options for wildcards: In practice, many dashboards are not only configured for one employee, but for entire teams or departments. To ensure that every user still receives the information relevant to them, administrators can make use of wildcards as placeholders for individual data. In addition to the existing wildcard “Own User”, placeholders such as “Own Location” or “Own Department” are now also available, so that generally configured dashboards can be adapted to suit their individual users even better.
